Forensic Interviews

It is our primary focus to provide additional support and guidance to the child victims and their families in the 13th Judicial District through forensic interviews. These interviews give children back power to feel safe in their immediate environment. The interviews is conducted in a place that is non threatening. Questions are formulated in such a way that they are not misleading, confusing, or intimidating. These interviews put the child first and assess what resources the child is in need of. Forensic interviews are not conducted, solely for the purpose of prosecution. However, they may be admitted as evidence and do play a vital role in the court trial. The Certified Forensic Interviewer is able to testify in court as an expert witness on behalf of the child. Our interviewer will travel to the victim to provide this service.  If you need to schedule an interview after the regular business hours, please call the 24-hour crisis number toll-free at 1-866-532-0377.
